FIFA World Cup Italy 1990

This World was disputed on Italy. There were 24 countries participating: Germany, Argentina (last World Cup champion), Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Cameroon, Czechoslovakia, Colombia,  South Korea, Costa Rica, Egypt, Arabic Emirates, Escocia, Spain, England, United States, Ireland, Italy (local), Netherlands, Rumania, Sweden, USSV,  Uruguay, and Yugaslavia.

This World Cup system was with a second round after the group phase, the quarter finals, semifinals and the final. The four semifinalists were Germany 1(4)-1(3) England in penalties, and the other Argentina 1(4)-1(3) Italy.

The final was on the Olympic of Rome with more than 80.000 fans. The final was won by Germany against Argentina, the goal that lead to the 3rd and las World Cup to germany till now. The goal was scored by Brehme in the minute 85 after a doubtful penalty.
